KIDS HAVE A BLAST AT SMART START
Smart Start Kids Camp 2020
It's going to be another great summer for your kids at Smart Start Kid's Camp!
Smart Start Kid's Camp offers half day and full day camp programs for children pre-K through sixth grade. Campers gain self esteem and respect for ones self and surroundings, through weekly themed, fun activities with guidance from supportive counselors. Drawing from years of educating children and camp experience, we have designed an adventurous and exciting camp that will give your children the summer they deserve!
Smart Start Preschool students have the option of either going home at 11:30 when the preschool day is over, or staying until 2:00, 3:00, or even 6:00 pm. Half-day kindergarten students (pick-up available) and children in the T/TH class are also welcome to join us.
Kinder-Club includes a nice balance of free time where children can relax, be outside, and play, and structured time with organized activities such as outdoor excursions, sports, art, drama, cooking, music, special projects, etc. A calendar of scheduled activities will be put out each month.
Smart Start Preschool
Smart Start Preschool strives to create a safe learning environment, which promotes developmentally appropriate education and social skills for young children to learn about themselves, others and their surroundings. Emphasis is placed on self-esteem, creativity, and individuality. Smart Start utilizes a system of manipulative materials within a structured environment where exploration, discovery and learning take place. The focus is to teach readiness skills for Kindergarten as well as instill the desire for life-long learning. A team approach between parents, children and teacher is essential for a consistent, quality education and experience.
At Smart Start Preschool, children most often: Lead…rather than follow the teacher. Create…rather than duplicate. Move…rather than wait. Initiate…rather than imitate. Raise questions…rather than answer the teacher’s questions. Solve their own problems…rather than the teacher’s problems. Make art…rather than do crafts. Make books…rather than fill in workbooks. Decide…rather than submit. Choose wisely…rather than being told. Try again…rather than fail.
